LL-37 to promote wound healing in chronic leg ulcers – clinical Phase I/II
Up to 5% of people aged 65 years or above will develop a venous leg ulcer (VLU) during their lifetime. Standard treatment today is compression bandaging, and new mechanical and biological treatments have shown limited efficacy.
LL-37 is a multifunctional antimicrobial peptide with confirmed wound healing properties both in vitro and in vivo. The peptide is formulated for easy wound application in connection with regular wound care. This product has the potential to be a beak-though in the treatment of a painful, disabling and growing disease where there are no effective treatments available.

PXL-01 to prevent scars and post-surgical adhesions
PXL-01 is the world’s first pharmaceutical to target post-surgical adhesion formation and scar prevention. This is an area of high unmet medical need as adhesions cause restricted mobility and pain to millions of patients every day. Current medical device barriers have failed to show adequate efficacy and have been associated with severe adverse effects and complicated handling. PXL-01 is developed to overcome these obstacles and a Phase II clinical trial is ongoing in hand surgery. In addition, PXL-01 may prevent excessive skin scarring after surgery. This is currently explored as a separate track for this therapeutic peptide.

DPK-060 to treat skin infections in atopic dermatitis and acute external otitis – clinical Phase II
DPK-060 is a first-in-class treatment of uncomplicated skin and skin structure infections (uSSSI), which are prevalent infections that can be caused by both bacteria and fungi. A Phase II clinical trial is ongoing in external otitis. Unlike other antibiotics, DPK-060 has a low potential to induce resistance, and is effective on MRSA. These properties allow DPK-060 to be a continuous, long-term treatment in several skin infections, for example secondary infections in eczema.
