PXL-01 to prevent formation of post-surgical adhesions – clinical Phase II

Pergamum Operating Unit in Gothenburg (Pharmasurgics AB)

More

PXL-01 is the world’s first pharmaceutical to target post-surgical adhesion formation. This is an area of high unmet medical need as adhesions cause restricted mobility and pain to millions of patients every day. Current medical device barriers have failed to show adequate efficacy and have been associated with severe adverse effects and complicated handling. PXL-01 is developed to overcome these obstacles and will be indicated for hand and orthopedic surgery.

DPK-060 to treat skin infections in atopic dermatitis and acute external otitis – clinical Phase II

Pergamum Operating Unit in Lund (Dermagen AB)

More

Atopic dermatitis (AD) is a widespread disease in all of the developed pharmaceutical markets, afflicting 10-20% of children and 1–3% of adults. DPK-060 offers a novel approach by effectively targeting the pathogens which aggravates the immune reaction in AD patients. Unlike other antibiotics, DPK-060 has a low potential to induce resistance, and is effective on MRSA. These properties allow DPK-060 to be a continuous, long-term treatment for moderate to severe AD.

LL-37 to promote wound healing in chronic leg ulcers – Entering phase I

Pergamum Operating Unit in Stockholm (Lipopeptide AB)

More

Up to 5% of people aged 65 years or above will develop a venous leg ulcer (VLU) during their lifetime. Standard treatment today is compression bandaging, and new mechanical and biological treatments have shown limited efficacy.
LL-37 is a multifunctional antimicrobial peptide with confirmed wound healing properties both in vitro and in vivo. The peptide is formulated for easy wound application in connection with regular wound care. This product has the potential to be a beak-though in the treatment of a painful, disabling and growing disease where there are no effective treatments available.
